Keanes Mid Fire Red Earth 10kg

Red Earth is a new popular addition to the Mid Fire Family. Inspired by the rich color pallet of the rocks and sands of central Australia.  My smooth clay body targets both throwers and slab formers working with utilitarian scale, functional objects who look to bring some warmth to the table.

GLAZE - This body is the perfect canvas for both bright and earth toned glazes however many potters like to keep my natural body exposed to show off its burnt red tones.

COLOR & TEXTURE - This raw body presents a sunburnt orange that holds  to bisque fire then deepens to an earthy red at glaze temperatures. With no added grog, Red Earth offers a finer texture than our Mid fire 33 Warm.

Shrinkage 13.5% and Absorption rate 1.6%
